Part D with Other Plans

Switching plans is easy with our company. Individuals may switch plans during the annual enrollment period (AEP), between Oct. 15 and Dec. 7. If you switch plans during the AEP, your new coverage takes effect on Jan. 1 of the following year.

REMINDER:
An individual cannot be enrolled in more than one Part D plan at the same time.

Participation in Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Coverage is voluntary — an optional program. First United American has designed our plans to provide valuable benefits to help save you money on your prescription drugs. When deciding which First United American Prescription Drug Plan (PDP) is right for you, it's important to understand how it may affect other benefits you receive, such as ...

  • • Medicare Part A and Part B / Medicaid
  • • State Pharmaceutical Assistance Program (SPAP)
  • • Medigap (Medicare Supplement) policy
  • • Employer or retiree group coverage
  • • Medicare-approved drug discount card program
  • • Non-Medicare-approved drug discount card program

Before enrolling in a First United American Prescription Drug Plan (PDP), research how it may affect your other coverage plans. Make sure it has the right coverage for you, and check if your prescriptions are covered. It is essential to be well-informed about how your other benefits interact with a Part D plan.
